3210026 - Why is my user getting error and prevented from registering even after being compliant with the COPPA age policy

Symptom

  • COPPA Compliance policy is enabled under API key
  • During registration, user initially enters an incorrect date of birth by accident that indicate age of below 13 years and submits the form
  • User then update date of birth to indicate correct age of at least 13 years and above to meet COPPA policy, and resubmits the form
  • The registration still fails with an error "Sorry, we are not able to process your registration"
  • errorCode: 403044, errorDetails: "Underage user"
