3210185 - Candidate not receiving Job Alerts created - Recruiting Management

A candidate has setup a job alert in the career site, but the emails are not being sent out to the candidates.

• No email template is associated with the trigger "Job Alert Notification"
• The email template associated with the trigger "Job Alert Notification" is disabled
• The Candidate Job Alert job in Provisioning is not running

To resolve this issue, please, see the resolution for each root cause below listed.

• No email template is associated with the trigger "Job Alert Notification"

An email template should be created in Manage Recruiting Email Templates in Admin Center, and it should be Active. Once created, follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to Recruiting Email Triggers in Admin Center
2. Search by Job Alert Notification and click on it
3. On the right side, select the email template on the dropdown
4. Click on Save

Now, the emails should be sent to the candidates correctly.

• The email template associated with the trigger "Job Alert Notification" is disabled

An email template should be created in Manage Recruiting Email Templates in Admin Center, and it should be Active. So, to fix this issue, follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to Admin Center
2. Go to Manage Recruiting Email Templates
3. Search by the email template name that is associated with the trigger Job Alert Notification
4. Click on the email template name
5. On the email page, on the "Status" field switch it to "Enabled"
6. Scroll down and click Save

Now, the emails should be sent to the candidates correctly.

• The Candidate Job Alert job in Provisioning is not running

In order to fix this, it is required to re-configure the job.

1. Disable the checkbox in Provisioning > Company Settings called "Enable Job Alerts for Candidates"
2. Click on Save
3. Enable the checkbox again, and select a new job owner (recommended to be a user that will never be activated in the system, like sfadmin)
4. Save

The job should run as expected.
