3210590 - How to define a user status as initial in Define Business Transaction Control

Symptom

When setting a user status in SSCUI Define Business Transaction Control, you want to set a user status as initial.

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

Resolution

According to the Configuration Help, after selecting one row in "Define Status Profile" and choosing "Define Business Transaction Controls" view, you can create business transaction controls for your status profile and specify whether the blocking of business transactions is to be activated immediately. Activated immediately means the blocking is not activated by the execution of another business transaction.

So you can set an user status as initial by flagging the 'Activate' option in Define Business Transaction Controls.

Then, after assigning the profile to the order type and creating a new production order, you will see the user status assigned by default.
