Error upon accessing the Compliance Tasks with the following error message: An error occurred while checking for form version updates. Contact SAP Cloud Support if this issue persists

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Login to the affected candidate
2. Click the Compliance Form Tile
3. The following error message appears: An error occurred while checking for form version updates. Contact SAP Cloud Support if this issue persists

The form US_W4_CO is no longer supported as the Colorado government has come up with a new form US_CO_DR4 for Colorado state.

The old Colorado form was assigned to the candidate and as the W4_CO form is no longer active in the system, hence the reported error appears. 

Since the government will no more accept the old Colorado form(US_W4_CO), you need to retrigger the onboarding process for the same candidate and then the new form US_CO_DR4 will be assigned and you can proceed further.
