3211211 - SQL Server historical IO performance

Symptom

In order to observe the status of the system I/O performance within certain period of time, such as past times, the SAP ABAP DBACOCKPIT monitoring frame collects a snapshot of the values dynamic management function sys.dm_io_virtual_file_stats every 20 minutes. The snapshots are saved and can be used to check the status of the system I/O performance of past days and to peak certain period of times out of the past few days. The snapshots are presented in the millisecond unit.
