3211352 - Workflow Approvals shown on Latest Home Page even after they are completed - SAP SuccessFactors

Symptom

Latest home page showing approval type To-Dos even after they have been completed.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  • Log in to the customer instance as any affected user
  • Check the Latest Home Page
  • Some completed Workflow To Dos will be accessible.
  • Try to action on such To Dos, error will be shown-> "Task is already Completed or Deleted for todoEntryId"

Resolution

This was a known issue and our Product team has already fixed the root cause.

But existing To-Dos that already had the issue prior to the fix, will need to corrected using the following process->
**Please engage your Partner or SuccessFactors Product Support for these provisioning steps 

  1. Go to Provisioning for the affected instance.
  2. Go to Scheduled Jobs
  3. Create a new Job of type "Migrate To-Do Entries to Card Service"
    1. Choose any admin user as Job Owner.
    2. Select Action as "Remove from Card Service".
    3. Select processing source as "Provisioning Job".
    4. Select the To-Do Category matching the To-Do type that has the issue on the home page.
    5. Run the job.
    6. Go to Monitor Jobs
    7. Check the job run status and wait for it to Complete.
      Important: For this job the initial Completed status in Provisioning will only indicate the event initiated in the back end, but does not actually denote the whole data processing is completed. For the true completion status, check the Job Run Details and look for a blank row to appear at the end with 'Completed' status after the row that says "Job successfully completed". Only when this last blank row is visible, can be job be considered truly completed.


       
  4. Create another Job of same type "Migrate To-Do Entries to Card Service".
    1. Choose any admin user as Job Owner
    2. Select Action as "Migrate to Card Service ".
    3. Select processing source as "Provisioning Job".
    4. Select the To-Do Category matching the To-Do type that has the issue on the home page.
    5. Run the job.
    6. Go to Monitor Jobs
    7. Check the job run status and wait for it to Complete.
      Important: For this job the initial Completed status in Provisioning will only indicate the event initiated in the back end, but does not actually denote the whole data processing is completed. For the true completion status, check the Job Run Details and look for a blank row to appear at the end with 'Completed' status after the row that says "Job successfully completed". Only when this last blank row is visible, can be job be considered truly completed.
  5. Repeat the above steps for every category of To-Dos for which there are completed To-Dos showing on the Latest Home Page.

The above steps will remove all To-Do data from the Card Services, including the corrupted ones, and then bring back all the correct/clean data again.
