3211411 - Signal 11 in memtextlen() - SAP ASE 16.0

Symptom

  • A process is terminated with Signal 11 in the module memtextlen() while doing a local client copy, always when reaching the SOFFCONT1 (only about 80.000 entries long, about 100 MB in size):

    Current process (0x8d30218) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
    Address 0x0x0000000000c730ef (memtextlen+0x12), siginfo (code, address) = (128, 0x(nil))

  • The terminated process was executing an INSERT statement into a table that has LOB columns.

  • The error is followed by a tack trace that includes functions:
