3211433 - Manage Provisioning Access Tool showing unknown users

Symptom

  • User "refreshprov" showing in Manage Provisioning Access page
  • User "autoprov" showing in Manage Provisioning Access page
  • User "autoprov" showing in Manage Permission Roles
  • Unknown users available under Manage Provisioning Access
  • Unknown users with access to Provisioning
  • SAP User can not be deleted from SF Provisioning Access
  • Users from SAP are added and removed from the Manage Provisioning Access tool

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Manage Provisioning Access page
  2. See unknown user displaying as 'refreshprov'
  3. Try to delete the user and it does not work

Resolution

Regarding "unknown", "autoprov" or "refreshprov" users:

  • Those users are global users and it is expected to be shown in Manage Provisioning Access tool.
  • Cannot be removed from provisioning access UI as it is used as part of the IRT tool.
  • Engineering Team are working on an enhancement to hide the user from Manage Provisioning Access tool in a future release. This KBA will be updated when the timeline is confirmed.

Regarding SAP users:

  • SAP has access to customer Provisioning side, and every time product support access it, the SAP user appears in the Manage Provisioning Tool temporarily - it should disappear within 48hours. 
  • Product Support access Provisioning as part of the troubleshooting - to check configuration, SSO logs, jobs running -, but do not make any changes without explicit customer approval.
