3211463 - How to assign different themes for groups of user on SAP SuccessFactors

• How to assign different themes according to group of users setup
• Is it possible to configure different banner images on the SF home page for different employee groups?
• What attributes can be used to group users when matching employees to themes?

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

-> If you decide to create custom themes, choose the user attribute that matches employees to themes. The groups can only be based on division, department, or location.
Note: It cannot be on a combination of the criteria above.

The default criteria is 'Division'. If you don't want to assign different groups to different themes, just assign all divisions to the same theme in 'Theme Manager'.
To change the criteria on how employees match to themes, it is necessary to access your provisioning (you will need to engage you partner or SAP Support for that):

1. In the Provisioning application, go to 'Company Settings'.
2. Find 'Field used to group users to themes' setting.
3. Select the criteria that you want to use to match users to custom themes:
   • Division - the default selection
   • Department
   • Location
4. Save your changes.
5. After that, you will be able to use the 'Visible to' menu in 'Theme Manager' to select which employee groups see the theme.

-> To configure different banner images for different group of users, you can use the same logic, and define the banner via 'Theme Manager'(don't configure it via 'Manage Home Page', otherwise it will display the same banner for all users).
