3211604 - PPDS Locked Objects - Postprocessing on S4 emb. PPDS system and automatic reprocessing

You are using and S4HANA embedded PPDS system and after an MRP run or any other mass transactions you encounter temporary locking issues in S4CORE inbound processing.
Due to the fact that several processes try to update the same objects (orders) at the same time you get postprocessing entries which must be processed manually.
If you manually reprocess the postprocessing entries with the message 'Object xxx currently locked' the entries can be processed without any issue.

In S4HANA with embedded PPDS the data transfer from PPDS into S4CORE is not done any more as a QRFC call. The update is done in a synchronous call into S4HANA.
In order to catch any errors in embedded PPDS you need to use postprocessing mandatorily!
Due to this design change a RETRY process on temporary locked queues is not possible any more like on a QRFC call.
