3211689 - "Document Type" Not Available For Field Update In Workflow Rule

While creating workflow rules of type 'Field Update', you notice that the field "Document Type" is not available.

SAP Cloud for Customer

After object creation, the document type of any object can no longer be changed. This is the same manually as well as for workflow rules.

This is not specific to any specific BO (such as Sales Orders, Tickets, Visits, etc.) but the same throughout the system.

This is expected system behaviour and will not be changed.
