3211953 - Upgrade failed - There was a problem copying /sybase/SID/SYBASE.csh.save

Symptom

  • saphostcontrol fails to upgrade with error - Error: Command execution failed. : Installation failed with rc=1. Please check /sybase/SID/sapdbctrl-config/sybInst.xxx.out. (fault code: 127)
  • sybInst.xxx.out reports - Please check the installer log file "/sybase/SID/log/ASE_Suite.log" and consult SAP Support at http://service.sap.com.
  • ASE_Suite.log reports
    • Additional Notes: WARNING - There was a problem copying /sybase/ATX/SYBASE.csh.save
    • Additional Notes: WARNING - There was a problem copying /sybase/ATX/SYBASE.sh.save
    • Additional Notes: WARNING - There was a problem copying /sybase/ATX/SYBASE.env.save
