3212037 - COMMIT WORK makes process exits when calling from BDC DATA

Symptom

  • Customer using BDC data to simulate sapgui Transaction - for example T-Code VL02N, VF01, VA01, etc - from SHDB
  • Customer implements custom codes to execute COMMIT WORK in his own source codes, for example, in some userexit
  • When the T-Code is executed in SAPGUI, after the statement COMMIT WORK, program continues.  However, when execute those T-Codes using BDC data, the program process exits. This makes some logics of main program of those T-Codes skipped and not executed.
  • Because of this, issues happen, for example, some data not updated into database.
