How to change or remove greeting text after enabling the Latest Homepage experience?

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

When the Latest Homepage is enabled, a greeting is displayed on the Home page. Depending on the time of day, it will display the following default messages:

• Good Morning! – 12:00 AM to 11:59 AM
• Good Afternoon! – 12:00 PM to 5:59 PM
• Good Evening! – 6:00 PM to 11:59 PM

You can edit what these greetings say using Manage Languages, however you cannot edit the times they display.

• Enable English Debug to view the Greetings on the homepage and confirm the keys for them.

Standard Homepage Keys

The 3 keys are:

• "HOME_V4_Salutation_Morning" for Good Morning!
• "HOME_V4_Salutation_Afternoon" for Good Afternoon!
• "HOME_V4_Salutation_Evening" for Good Evening!

Latest Home Page Experience Keys

When the Latest Home Page Experience is enabled, the keys to update are:

• "HOME_HPX_Salutation_Morning"
• "HOME_HPX_Salutation_Morning_UserName"
• "HOME_HPX_Salutation_Afternoon"
• "HOME_HPX_Salutation_Afternoon_UserName"
• "HOME_HPX_Salutation_Evening"
• "HOME_HPX_Salutation_Evening_UserName"

How to modify or remove greeting text in Manage Language?

• Add the keys to your custom language pack for all languages where you want to apply the change
• Add your custom greeting text
• If you want to hide the greetings, enter a single space in the field
  • If using a text file, ensure you still include the opening and closing double quotes with a space inside (e.g., " ")
• Upload your custom language packs and the changes will be reflected on the homepage
• If you want to hide greetings after uploading the file, click "Modify" and enter a single space (without quotes). The UI will reflect exactly what has been entered in the field.

Important Notes

• • Once modified, the translation will appear in the Customized tab
  • Please allow up to 24 hours for the customization to take effect

Mobile Limitations

There are mobile-specific keys for greetings listed below. However, these do not apply to the Latest Homepage experience on mobile devices.

Mobile UXR HP greeting labels are localized strings and not supported via text replacement. These strings are hard-coded in the mobile application and cannot be changed. This is expected system behavior.

• MOB_HOME_uxr_home_greeting_good_afternoon_android
• MOB_HOME_uxr_home_greeting_good_evening_android
• MOB_HOME_uxr_home_greeting_good_evening_ios
