Symptom

Error "App could not be opened either due to an incorrect SAP Fiori launchpad configuration or a missing role assignment" occurs when clicking the "Create" button under the drop-down list of "Create Service Order" in the "Manage Service Orders" app.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Resolution

Please assign the business catalog "SAP_CRM_BC_SERV_PROCORDER_PC" (Service - Process Service Order) to the business roles of the user. The detailed steps are:

  1. Open the "Maintain Business Users" app and search for the business user.
  2. Select one of its business roles under the "ASSIGNED BUSINESS ROLES" tab and click into it.
  3. Click the "Add" button in edit mode under the "assigned business catalog" tab.
  4. Search for the business catalog "SAP_CRM_BC_SERV_PROCORDER_PC" and click the "Apply" button.
