3212818 - Version copy fails with master data type doesn't exist in version of planning area error

Symptom

  • Version Copy job is scheduled to copy master data types between versions.
  • The job fails with error like:

          Master data type <ERROR MDT ID> doesn't exist in version <TARGET VERSION ID> of planning area <PLANNING AREA ID>

          Error while processing master data type <MTD ID>. Check application log

  • The ERROR MDT ID is not selected in the job.
