3214684 - Story based on SAC system model "RESOURCE" returns authorization error for non-Administrator users in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• Story based on SAC system model "RESOURCE" returns authorization error for non-Administrator users, if Manage permission for the Public Files privilege is not granted for the user: see help guide Analyze System Performance.
• Error without the Manage permission for the Public Files privilege: "You have no authorization to the model."
• But Manage permission for the Public Files privilege grants much more privilege: user is able to get access of System Folder, so user is able to see data of other projects and is able to access other stories as well.

SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise)

1. Login to SAC system.
2. Create a user role e.g. copy BI Content Creator (this does not contain the Manage permission for Public File privilege).
3. Create a user with BI Intelligence license and assign the created custom role to the user.
4. Go to model System / Common / SAC Content/ Admin Cockpit: RESOURCE
5. Share the model with View permission to the test user.
6. Login with the test user to SAC.
7. Create a new Story based on the model RESOURCE: New Story with Canvas page
8. Select a Table => Server Error: You have no authorization to the model.
9. Select a Chart => Unable to retrieve data from the data source. Error: [You have no authorization to the model.]
10. Now login with the SAC Administrator user and add the Manage permission for Public File privilege to your custom role and Save.
11. Login again with your test user.
12. Try to create the same Story => table/chart will be created successfully.
13. But from now the user will have access also to the System Folder.

"RESOURCE" model is the top-level model which uses both "RESOURCE_BASE_1" and "RESOURCE_BASE_2" models.

If there is only need to access to "RESOURCE" model, since it is the top-level model which uses both "RESOURCE_BASE_1" and "RESOURCE_BASE_2" models, there is only need to share those two models as well - in addition to "RESOURCE".
