3217717 - Shopping Cart not Cancelled Even Though the Purchase Request is Cancelled

Canceled Purchase Request did not change the Shopping Cart status

SAP Business ByDesign.

1. Go to Purchase Requests and Orders work center.
2. Go to Purchase Requests view.
3. Filter for All Purchase Requests.
4. Search for the relevant Purchase Request.

See that the Cancellation Status is Canceled but the Shopping Cart status is Released.

You have a Purchase Order with the status Ordered in the Document Flow of this Shopping Cart.

There can be different scenarios:

First scenario:

• You have a Document Flow with the Shopping Cart and the Purchase Request

In this case if you cancel the Purchase Request it will automatically cancel the Shopping Cart

Second scenario:

• You have a Document Flow with Shopping Cart, Purchase Request and Purchase Order

In this case you there are two options:

1- Cancel the Purchase Request

This will cause a confusion, because only the Purchase Request will be canceled, since the Purchase Order comes after this document it will not be affected, also the Purchase Order will prevent the Shopping Cart of being canceled. Since the Purchase Order wasn't canceled you can proceed with the scenario, by creating a Goods and Service Receipt and a Supplier Invoice.

2- Cancel the Purchase Order

In this case, you can also cancel the Purchase Request, but since this document was canceled after the Purchase Order this will automatically cancel the Shopping Cart.

Overall, to automatically cancel the Shopping Cart you need to cancel all documents created after the Purchase Request, from the newest to the oldest until you reach the Purchase Request, following the Document Flow backwards.
