3217822 - Dump with MESSAGE_TYPE_X SAPLOLEA Runtime Error in ABAP editor

Symptom

  1. In the ABAP editor when using enhancement and you right click, select enhancement Operations and then select Change Implementation, an ABAP dump MESSAGE_TYPE_X occurs.
  2. When a Automation + Control Manager trace is taken in GUI as per 158985 - Automation: How do I create an automation trace? . The error shown is
