3218357 - When Creating A New Stock Transfer Order, ATP of An Line Item Changed From Grey to Green If Another Line Item Is Added and Complete Delivery Order Is Checked.

Symptom

When creating a new stock transfer order, the first line item has ATP as grey because of the error "No valid planning data exists for product ABC in site XYZ". Then, you add another line item whose ATP is green, and check Complete Delivery Order, the ATP of first line item becomes green.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to work center Supply Planning.
  2. Go to common task New Stock Transfer Order.
  3. Select DEF for Ship-from Site ID and XYZ for Ship-to Site ID (DEF and XYZ represent site ID).
  4. Click Add Row, enter product ABC (ABC represents product ID) and maintain Requested Quantity. The ATP is grey with error "No valid planning data exists for product ABC in site XYZ".
  5. Click Add Row, enter another product and maintain Requested Quantity, its ATP is green.
  6. Check "Complete Delivery Order", line item 10's ATP with product ABC changes from grey to green.

Cause

This is expected behaviour, since after "Complete Delivery Order" checked, the two products are grouped together and availability is performed as one, not at the individual level.

Resolution

This is system standard behavior.

However, due to the error "No valid planning data exists for product ABC in site XYZ", the new stock transfer order will not be saved successfully.
