3218584 - IBP: Prerequisites and Errors of Improved Master Data Processing

Symptom

From SAP IBP version 2205, the way how master data integration and master data processing takes place is changed and improved data processing is introduced.
If your SAP IBP system was set up in version 2205 or higher, this feature is already enabled by default and there are no further changes required.

However, SAP IBP systems – which were set up earlier than 2205 – can be switched to the improved master data processing as well.
From SAP IBP version 2211, improved data processing will be switched on in every SAP IBP customer system in more phases.

For the switch, there are certain prerequisites that must be completed before, otherwise several error messages might emerge:

1. 054, Bad attr-as-kf config, MD &1 key and root attrs must match in PL &2 PA &3.

2. 064, Can't load MDT &1, PA &3 doesn’t have version-specific MD for version &2.

3. 178, All master data must belong to either OBP or time-series-based PAs.

4. 056, Time profile data upload is only allowed with REPLACE batch command.

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
