3218641 - Description for <CODE> codevalue <VALUE> in language <LANGUAGECODE> has not been updated

When you are trying to Upload Code List Mapping into C4C, the Application Logs record the following warning message: Description for <CODE> codevalue <VALUE> in language <LANGUAGECODE> has not been updated

e.g. "Description for CashDiscountTermsCode codevalue XYZ in language EN has not been updated."

1. Go to Business Configuration
2. Go to Upload Code List
3. Select the Code list Group
4. Upload the excel file
5. check the app logs

The message implies to description already maintained for the respective Code List in the system. So, no Overwrite action code is committed.

We do not update the descriptions for any code in a language if it already exist in C4C.

There is no way to update descriptions of code via upload.

This has to be done manually only.

Code list mapping is designed to map the codes and add any new codes if not existing in the tenant. Updates to codes are not part of the scope and have to be done manually via fine-tuning Business Configuration.

Example for CashDiscountTermsCode where you can manually change in fine-tuning activity:

1. Business Configuration
2. Search and Open the Activity "Account" 
3. Open "Maintain Payment Terms" and adjust the Descriptions
