3218667 - Picklist External Code is set by Position To job Sync rule - Employee Central

A picklist field in Position is changed and expectation is to sync to job information but following is noted:

• Job History shows sync happens but it shows only the picklist External code.
• When opening job information is edit mode the field is blank, there is no value.

1. Go to Position Org Chart/Manage positions
2. Edit picklist for a target position and trigger sync.

This is a limitation by Position to Job sync when trying to set country specific fields when same field is referenced for multiple countries in Data Model however there is countries that field is configured to have a picklist and others that is just a string field in same THEN condition.

Position to Job Sync rule with Limitation:

For example for BRA country field is a String field:

But for Germany my field is associated with a picklist:

You can avoid this error by creating "IF" conditions on Position to Job Sync rule to differentiate "THEN" conditions based on each Country of Company and then set needed fields.

OR you can configure different fields in Data Model for each country, taking my example I could select custom-string16 to String and custom-string17 picklist fields depending on country needs.
