3218676 - Replicate data into SAP IQ is very slow and IQ received "The attempt to connect to the server failed" - SAP SRS

Symptom

  • Replicating data into SAP IQ with dsi_compile_enable set to 'on'. (RTL)
  • In IQ message file , the maintenance user connection raised the following error:

    Error Message: ct_connect(): protocol specific layer: external error: The attempt to connect to the server failed.

  • In Replication server errorlog:

    Warning #5901 DSI EXEC(470(1) iqserver.iqdbname)- neric/dsi/dsiqmint.c(5377)
    A transaction for database iqserver.iqdbname failed. It will be retried 5 times. The data server error received (#-1003002) is mapped to RETRY_LOG or RETRY_STOP.

  • From sp_iqcontext, the maint user connection show the queries are sent as language commands instead of using RTL for large bulk update.
