3219045 - SSL connection failed with "Unable to open certificate authority file or read the certificates in it" - SDK for SAP ASE

Symptom

  • After setting debug variables
    SYBOCS_DEBUG_FLAGS=CS_DBG_SSL
    SYBOCS_DEBUG_LOGFILE=cctdebug.log
  • The first 500 times succeed in connecting to the application. 
  • However, after 500 or so times using ssl and giving error:
    Step 507
    Client Library error: severity(0) number(4) origin(3) layer(5)
    ct_connect(): network packet layer: internal net library error: Net-Lib protocol driver call to connect two endpoints failed
    Operating system error number(-1):
    Unable to open certificate authority file or read the certificates in it.
    Fatal error: Could not connect!
