3219579 - Error "Logon failed for RESTful Web Services. Contact system administrator." appears after enabling Client Authentication in WACS when logging in to BILP

Symptom

  • BW event scheduling was configured using the WACS as per:
    2812939 - How to configure BW Events-based scheduling in BI Platform

  • After selecting the 'Enable Client Authentication' option in Web Application Container Server (WACS) properties, login to BI Launch pad (BILP) is no longer possible, the error below appears:
    Logon failed for RESTful Web Services. Contact system administrator.

  • Manually accessing the biprws (restful web service URL) results in the following error:
    ERR_BAD_SSL_CLIENT_AUTH_CERT
