3220021 - BP roles/addresses not updated, error R11 243/R1 000 CHECK_TABLE_MISSING via API_BUSINESS_PARTNER

• When creating or updating a Business Partner (BP) using API CL_MD_BP_MAINTAIN or API_BUSINESS_PARTNER, one or more of the following symptoms occur:

  • BP roles, addresses, or bank data are not updated, even though the API call returns a successful status.
  • No changes are visible in the affected BP records (roles, addresses, or bank data) after the API, OData service, or report runs.
  • One or more of the following error messages appear in the API response or in transaction logs:
    • R11 243: Internal error when calling operation module BUA_CHECK_ADDRESS_VALIDITY_ALL; a check table is missing
    • R1 000: Error_Time Dependency_Addresses CHECK_TABLE_MISSING
    • (Other errors indicating "CHECK_TABLE_MISSING" may also be present.)
  • In some cases, no error is displayed, but the relevant BP data is not updated as expected.

• The issue occurs in both S/4HANA on-premise and S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition systems, especially after changes to Business Partner customizing (time dependency).
