3220201 - Incorrect Syntax error when executing CREATE LOGIN WITH ENCRYPTED PASSWORD - SAP ASE

Symptom

When you try and use the ENCRYPTED PASSWORD version of the CREATE LOGIN command you get an unexpected syntax error:

1> create login mylogin with encrypted password F79979C476B3E7CBC48C91B2B6A97729CC69871925592CA6EA421C6B7274988CE17C8E91C337591C2EC6
2> go
Msg 156, Level 15, State 2:
Server 'lonl34411371a', Line 1:
Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'encrypted password'.

OR

1> create login mylogin with encrypted password 79979C476B3E7CBC48C91B2B6A97729CC69871925592CA6EA421C6B7274988CE17C8E91C337591C2EC67
2> go
Msg 102, Level 15, State 181:
Server 'lonl34411371a', Line 1:
Incorrect syntax near '79979'.
