3220779 - Custom Form Template is Not Picked While Previewing Customer Invoice

Symptom

A Custom Form Template was set up, but the form is not picked correctly while previewing Customer Invoice.

Environment

 SAP Business By Design

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Application and User Management work center.
  2. Go to Form Template Maintenance view.
  3. Search for Form Template "Customer Invoice (Japanese)" and open it.
  4. You will see the form is picking a Standard Form.

Or

  1. Navigate to Customer Invoice work center.
  2. Open Invoice-XXXX and Preview it.
  3. You will see the Invoice is displayed in Standard Form.

Cause

The appropriate template variant is picked up by OM based on Country Code and Language Code.

Invoice - Account - View All -> General Tab -> Main communication -> Language is not maintained.

If the language is not maintained, default language is picked, which is English and hence corresponding template is picked.

Resolution

  1. Navigate to Customer Invoicing work center.
  2. Find the relevant Account in Customer Invoice and open it.
  3. View All.
  4. Go to General Tab.
  5. Maintain Laguage Code under Main Communication Tab.
