Symptom
You have created a Goods and Service Receipt run to consider only deliveries to be executed today, however by checking the Application Log, you could see Deliveries scheduled for tomorrow were also processed.
Environment
Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Goods and Service Receipts work center.
- Go to Goods and Service Receipts Run view.
- Select the desired Run.
- Click on the last Application Log.
- Go to Results tab.
- You see that deliveries executed for tomorrow were also processed today.
Cause
This happens due to the conversion between Purchase Order time zone, which can vary, and the Goods and Service Receipts Run time zone, which is always in UTC.
For instance: In the Service Period of the Purchase Order, the time zone is July 5, 00:00 CET, while for the Goods and Service Receipts Run this is convert for July 4th 22:00 UTC.
Resolution
In order to prevent this situation, the recommendation is to avoid using 00:00:00 as a timing for the Purchase Order Delivery/Service Period, as it is more likely to be affected during timezone conversions.
