3221344 - Commitment update not successful for purchase requisition

You create purchase requisition/purchase order and expect commitment to be generated. However, the commitment generation is not successful.

If you check app Project Budget Report, the data for commitment is blank if you enter the relevant project.
Or you even the commitment is over the budget planned, there is not error when creating PR/PO.

Create purchase requisition and check commitment value.

With account assignment type Q, balance sheet account will be determined. For account assignment type Q, from CE2402, the commitment generation is supported. However the budget check for that kind of commitment is not supported yet. SAP plans to deliver the function in the future releases (not determined yet).

A wbs element can get the commitment with project-related account assignment type like P (project), where the account has to be a cost element. With the same account assignment type, budget check is also supported.

Other account assignment types are not supported for commitment or for budget check.
