Symptom

During initiate Onboarding process getting error:
Unable to initiate onboarding process. Please ensure that the Offer Details fields are properly completed.

even if the Offer has been completed.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

Reproducing the Issue

  1. open the application with Offer process completed and approved
  2. click on Take Action > Initiate Onboarding
  3. Error appear:
    Unable to initiate onboarding process. Please ensure that the Offer Details fields are properly completed.

Cause

  • Either First Name or Last Name are missing in Application page
  • There are no mappings completed for one of the templates (Job Application, Job Requisition, Job Offer)

Resolution

For Cause 1:

Be sure that the application page display on the top both First Name and Last Name, if not update them.

For Cause 2:

Ensure that at least the required fields are filled out for the correct templates. Otherwise, the integration won't work.
