Symptom

How to make the field "Delivery Plant" mandatory in the Fiori app "Manage customer master data ".

Environment

  • SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Fiori App "Manage Customer Master Data".
  2. Create/edit a new/current customer master data record.
  3. The field Delivery Plant is not marked as a mandatory field.

Cause

Missing configuration.

Resolution

A user can control the field settings at Account Group level for the Customer/Vendor. 

  1. To do so navigate through the following path:
  2. Implementation Cockpit > Configure your solution > Application area: Database and Data Management > Sub application area > Business Partner > Define Account Groups with Screen Layout (Customers) / Define Account Groups with Screen Layout (Suppliers).
  3. After following the relevant path, select the relevant account group and then navigate to the Sales > Shipping section.
  4. Set the default plant field as mandatory.
