This article outlines best practices for creating and maintaining new tables in APME and ALM.
APME and ALM do not support the configuration of custom tables through product Configuration. Custom tables will not be accessible in the product via Search/Detail screens.
Unsupported tables include "In" entities for importing and posting, as well as entities for dropdowns like Field Defaults and Entity Edits. However, custom table can be created within the system for use in QBQueries, Report Forms, and other data retrieval and display purposes.
There are two methods to create a custom table: using Lookup Tables or creating a table via SQL Script. It is recommended to use the Cross Reference and Generic Workspace instead of the SQL Script option.
