3223277 - Employees Can See Manager Comments in Performance Forms When They Should Not Have Access

Employees can see manager comments when they should not have access.

SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Employee completes their section in a performance form
  2. Form is routed to a manager step
  3. The manager adds comments
  4. The form is routed back to the employee step
  5. Employee can see manager comments

After a manager added their comments, the form was routed back to an employee step where there is no permission restricting the employee's ability to see a manager's comment.

Option 1

  1. Route the form to the manager in a step where they have write access for section comments
  2. Have the manager remove the comment so the employee won't see it, then route the form back to the employee

Option 2

  • Launch a new form and ensure it's only processed forward through the route map steps

Update the form field permissions so employees cannot see manager comments for employee steps. This is to ensure employees cannot see manager comments in case the form is routed back to an employee in error.
