- This is an expected behavior as the Parent Picklist field is not an editable field in the Offer Approval page;
- This will occur when there's a Parent-Child Picklist relationship where the Parent Picklist field has read-only permission, either by being a standard field coming from another template or a standalone field set as non-custom token field. Please refer to the following KBA for more details for edit permissions on Offer Detail page: 2411448 - Permission to Edit Offer Approval Fields in Recruiting;
- The behavior will not change if the Parent Picklist field value is already selected.
In this situation, if the Parent Picklist field is a standard field coming from another template (Job Requisition or Job Application), both values from the Parent and Child Picklist fields will need to be set in the source template. If the Parent Picklist field is standalone Offer Approval field, you'll need to set the field as a custom token to make it editable, hence making the Child Picklist field editable as well.
