3224059 - NWBC Error on Startup

Symptom

  • While starting BC 7.70 or 8.00 end users are getting the following error message:


"The operating system denies write access to the SAP UI Landscape file:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\SAP\Common\SAPUILandscape.xml
SAP Business Client will switch the system selector to read-only mode.  This will
prevent you from adding, deleting, changing and organizing system connections."

Unexpected error

  • or no new system can be added or edited:
    new system
    "Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."
