3224364 - Cannot Limit Write Access to Account Bank Data

You are aware it is possible to provide users with read and write access to supplier records while having only read access to the suppliers' Bank Data tab.

You would like to set this up for customer accounts as well, but cannot find this option.

SAP Business ByDesign

This level of access control is currently not available for customer accounts.

You can either provide read-only access to the entire account record of provide read and write access to all of it as well (including Bank Data).

If your business requires only some users to be able to edit bank data, you can try providing read and write access to all users, then use Detailed Restrictions so that the users can only find and edit certain accounts in the Account Management work center.

Additionally, you can try using custom coding to restrict access to certain tabs and attributes of an UI, such as the Bank Data tab (read more in the See Also section). To discuss custom coding implementations with an implementation partner:
