3224384 - How to drop the Metrics part by part - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Set the configuration parameter "enable metric capture" to true. Then the metrics data will take a large space.

  • Proceed with the plan to drop the metrics using "sp_metrics 'drop', '1'" and meet locks not enough issue.

  • Is there a procedure to drop the metrics by a select number of rows only to prevent insufficient locks.
