3224463 - Error ''File validation failed. Create an incident'' While Migrating Customers Using the Activity Migration of Customers

1. Go to Business Configuration work center
2. Select Overview view and Select All Activities from the dropdown
3. Search and open Migration of Customers activity
4. Select the link Migrate customers using the migration tool
5. Upload the file using the Upload option and run the Migration Step by step

 You receive the above error message at Validation step.

There could be many possible causes for this issue, some of them could be:

• Contact ID is missing, the combination of Account ID, Contact ID, First Name and Last Name needs to be unique for migration.
• You have duplicate entries, for example: same value for Contact ID.
• In the Enhance mode, you are trying to change/modify existing contact persons and their details.

• For missing contact ID: Fill the contact ID, even if the Contact does not exist yet in your system.
• For duplicate entries: Remove the duplicate entry
• For the issue in enhance mode: You can only add new contact persons. In order to change/modify attributes of existing Contact Persons, you have to use the work center Mass Data Maintenance for Customers. Here you can extract the existing data (ex:Contact Persons). Then you can change certain attributes and upload the changed data.
