Symptom
In a diagram in Editor, the linked subprocess element title does not update automatically when its name is changed
Environment
- SAP Signavio Process Manager 3.0
- SaaS v.16.2.0
Reproducing the Issue
- In Editor, create two diagrams, one named 'linked process' and the other 'Includes linked process' which includes a collapsed subprocess task element which is linked to the 'linked process' diagram.
- Save the two diagrams.
- Open the 'linked process' diagram and change its name to New linked process'.
- Save the diagrams.
- Open the 'Includes linked diagram' diagram and see that the name of the task has not been updated.
- Open the dialog box for linking the diagram to the task element and see that you cannot click the 'adopt name automatically' as it is greyed out.
- See that in the same dialog box, you have to change the diagram you are linking and then change it back to the origianal and press save.
- See that the name is finally updated.
Cause
The ability for the linked subprocess element name to be automatically updated when its title is changed is a known limitation of the product
Resolution
A feature request for the functionality the user describes is to be considered for inclusion in future releases of the product.
Workaround:
- Open the linked subprocess elements linked diagram dialog box
- Click a new diagram to link
- Select the original diagram again
