3224771 - libsapcrypto.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory - ASE

Symptom

  • Install ASE 16.0 SP04
  • Starting ASE after installing ASE

/opt/sap/ASE-16_0/bin/dataserver: error while loading shared libraries: libsapcrypto.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

  • SYBASE.csh was set before starting ASE
  • Running env does not show the $SYBASE enviornmental variables set
  • strace shows the following

2776  05:17:27 open("/lib64/tls/x86_64/libsapcrypto.so", O_RDONLY|O_CLOEXEC) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)

2776  05:17:27 open("/lib64/libsapcrypto.so", O_RDONLY|O_CLOEXEC) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
2776  05:17:27 open("/usr/lib64/tls/x86_64/libsapcrypto.so", O_RDONLY|O_CLOEXEC) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
