3225228 - Permissioned users cannot access CSB - Recruiting Marketing

Symptom

Even though the CSB permissions were granted and the recruiter Sync has been launched from CSB, users are not getting synched and therefore cannot access CSB from Bizx.

Checking in Command Center under the Automated process logs the following error is displayed : <result-msg>Recruiter Sync process already running for siteId ::XXX</result-msg>
(note Command Center can only be accessed by Implementation Partners, Support and Professional Services)

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Marketing

Cause

The recruiter sync is launched too many times from CSB via the "Execute Now" button before the previous attempt completes and this causes the processes to lock, preventing the sync to run and users from being imported.

Resolution

We are working on a code correction to prevent this error.

In the meantime a workaround can be applied which consists in removing the recruiterSync block and then letting the regularly scheduled recruiter sync run.

Here's what the recruiterSync block looks like in the sitesettings XML:

<setting>
<propertyname><![CDATA[recruiterSync]]></propertyname>
<propertyvalue><![CDATA[1]]></propertyvalue>
<siteid>XXX</siteid>
</setting>

Steps to remove it are as follows:

  1. Access Command Center;
  2. Go to CSB > Tools > Import & Export > Export tab;
  3. Export the Site Settings twice (important note: keep two copies of this file - one unmodified as a backup in case anything goes wrong so you can restore the original configuration, and one that you will modify);
  4. Open the file you will be modifying with a text or XML editor (e.g. Notepad++, Oxygen, etc...);
  5. remove the recruiterSync block
  6. reimport the modified sitesettings xml
  7. let the regularly scheduled recruiter sync run
  8. check the logs to verify it worked

    Note that this workaround should be implemented by an individual familiar with XML editing. Damaging the file in question could affect the configuration of the RMK site.
