3226442 - Getting permission error when running sp_locklogin - ASE

Symptom

  • Want to lock a specific login
  • login into the server using sapsa and if run sp_locklogin, get the following error.

    isql -Usapsa -S<SID> -P<password> -X

    1> sp_locklogin <login>, "lock"
    2> go
    Msg 16802, Level 14, State 1:
    Server '<database>', Procedure 'sp_locklogin', Line 274:
    You must have the following permission to execute this command/procedure:
    'manage any login'. Please contact a user with the appropriate permission for
    help.
    (return status = 1)
