3226629 - Scheduling of a Story is failing with "Scheduling the publication failed because the export task could not be completed in time" error message in SAP Analytics Cloud

• Scheduling of story is failing with error the following error message: “Scheduling the publication failed because the export task could not be completed in time”.
  • Manual export of the story is successful 
  • Number of schedules is not exceeded (Scheduling Publications – Number of publications)

• SAP Analytics Cloud
• Stories using Direct connection(s) with Advanced Feature enabled models.

1. Log in to SAC 
2. Navigate to Calendar
3. Select the schedule 
4. Notice: schedule failed due to timeout error: "Scheduling the publication failed because the export task could not be completed in time."

• The "Advanced Feature" (Cloud Connector based) part of the direct connection is not working.
  • When using connections with "Advanced Feature" configured SAC will always use the direct connection in run time, but scheduling will always go through the "Advanced Feature" (Cloud Connector).

1. Make sure that the problem is related to "Advanced Feature".
   When using connections with "Advanced Feature" configured SAC will always use the direct connection in run time, but scheduling will always go through the "Advanced Feature" (Cloud Connector).
   For testing purposes we can use the "isSch=true" url parameter to force the "Advanced Feature" (Cloud Connector) in runtime.
   1. Open your Story.
   2. Modify the URL
      1. From: <Tenant URL>/sap/fpa/ui/app.html#/story2&/s2/<STORY ID>/?mode=view
      2. To: <Tenant URL>/sap/fpa/ui/app.html?isSch=true#/story2&/s2/<STORY ID>/?mode=view
2. If the story does load the data initially but not with the second url please verify the "Advanced Feature" configuration as per:

Please note that the mentioned "isSch=true" url parameter is not supported in any scenarios. It is exclusively used for troubleshooting purposes and not allowed to use in any other scenarios.
