3227140 - Copying Document not Possible; Configuration From Service Order to Service Confirmation Missing

You are attempting to create a Service Confirmation from a Service Order, however when doing so the system returns an error message.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Service Orders work center.
2. Select the Service Order Processing view.
3. Select document ABC.
4. Click Confirm Execution button.
5. The following error shows in New Service Confirmation window.

Copying document not possible; configuration from Service Order to Service Confirmation missing

The error is happening because the following question under the business configuration has not been maintained:

Do you intend to invoice expenses based on receipts that result from sales or services, taking actual costs from the service confirmation?

This is the system expected behavior.

Please perform the following steps to configure the question:

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Select the Implementation Projects view.
3. Navigate to the Questions.
4. Expand Services.
5. Expand Product and Service Portfolio for Service and Repair.
6. Select Offered Services.
7. Under Group: Expense Types for Service.
8. Select Question:

Do you intend to invoice expenses based on receipts that result from sales or services, taking actual costs from the service confirmation?

Once we do this, it will by default select the Business Configuration that is related to using service confirmations for after sales service, which allow you to do Service Confirmation.
