3227248 - Optimizer does not choose an index on a temp table created in the same batch - SAP ASE

• ASE opimizer does not choose an index on a temporary table if the temp table and the index are both created in the same batch, and table scan is chosen instead.
• Even if you specify the index in a select statement by using the (index index_name) clause, you get a message below and the index is not chosen.

Index 'index name' specified as optimizer hint in the FROM clause of table '#table name' does not exist.  Optimizer will choose another index instead.
