3228018 - Customer Material Description displayed as Item Description in Sales Document

You expect that item description in the sales document is to be picked from the material master data. However it is picked from customer material info record, which is not expected.

Item description is not as expected, in this example, it is not Trad.Good 11,PD,Reg.Trading:

The customer material description is preferred. If you don't want the customer material description to override the material description from material master data, you shouldn't set the customer material description in the Manage Customer Material app.

1. Go to Manage Customer Materials app

2. Select the corresponding entry considering customer, customer material, product, sales organization, distribution channel.

2. Click on Edit button and clear the Customer Material Description field:

3. Save.

Now when you create a new sales document, the item description is picked from the material master data:
