3228162 - Supplier Approval is not Working for an Existing Business Partner That Was Extended to a Supplier

An existing bidder business partner was extended to also act as supplier using the supplier approval process, however this supplier is not subject to approval.

The process to add the supplier role to an already existing, active business partner (be it a bidder or a customer/account) and having that change under control of supplier approval process is currently not supported.

This is an expected system behavior.
