3228212 - Wrong date format updated for field Journal Entry Date

In the app Manage Journal Entries, the date format for field Journal Entry Date shows abnormal.

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."

The Journal Entry Date can be set as different from Posting Date, there is no check for date format in field Journal Entry Date. This means it will display exactly what you have input when posting journal entries. If you input date as 25.07.0022, it displays like this.

This is standard system behavior, same applies when posting with app Post General Journal Entries and API posting.

In order to correct it, the best approach is to try reversing and reposting these documents that were posted with the wrong Journal Entry Date.
